Yuriy is an ex Lead Biostatistician at ICON (World's leading CRO) & ML Lead at a Medical AI startup. He conducted a successful study on a smartphone-based AI algorithm for the FDA pre-submission.
Yuriy believes that the only way to achieve breakthroughs is through excellence and quality. This shows in both research approach and practical implementations products, especially in medical domain. As a statistician, Yuriy is convinced that data-driven decision and evidence-based medicine is the key to advancing our healthcare. Yuriy holds a First class Masters Degree in Statistics and Data Science from the University of Edinburgh.
With academic background in Mathematics, Statistics, and Data Science, he spent several years in clinical research designing and executing Phase II and Phase III clinical trials in world-leading CRO. Then he moved on to a HealthTech product company building next generation of clinical decision support systems in Neurological diseases. There he developed medical-grade AI software from the conception to clinical validation. His next challenge is to step up from disease management to prevention and deeper our understanding of the human body.
His core mission is to make an positive impact on human lives and improve the wellbeing for everyone. Increasing the knowledge about human body through research and data is the only way to unlock affordable prevention globally.
